Can Land Consolidation Reduce the Soil Erosion of Agricultural Land in Hilly Areas? Evidence from Lishui District, Nanjing City
نویسندگان
چکیده
The hilly areas of China have experienced soil erosion and are also typical land consolidation (LC) regions. Using the RUSLE model multiple regression model, this study evaluated agricultural assessed effects LC on in Lishui District, a district Ning-Zhen-Yang area. ranged from 0 to 385.77 t·ha−1·yr−1 with spatial heterogeneity due topography, cover, vegetation cover. Overall, carrying out reduced construction protection forests, farmland shelterbelts, different kinds engineering. Furthermore, types had impacts erosion, where resulted more serious than development. Nevertheless, potential risks brought by reduction could not be overlooked, attention should paid ecological environment during process LC. This presents findings regarding positive for areas.

Soil Erosion Features by Land Use and Land Cover in Hilly Agricultural Watersheds in Central Sichuan Province, China
The study assessed soil erosion features in hilly agricultural watersheds in central Sichuan Province, China. Relationships among area percentages of land covers, soil erosion modulus, soil loss rate, and area percentage of erosion in the watersheds were examined by multivariate regression analysis. The first two regression models were constructed with area percentages of land covers as indepen...
متن کاملAnalysis of Deterrent/Promoter Factors Affecting Farmers' Participation in Agricultural Land Consolidation Plan (Case Study: Rural Areas of Nehbandan County)
The fragmentation and Segmentation of agricultural lands is one of the challenges facing rural development programs. Implementation of land consolidation policy in most parts of the Iran in the past years has always faced problems with farmers' participation and successful implementation of the project to solve this problem. The aim of this study was to study the boosters and barriers of farmer...
متن کاملPredicting soil erosion for alternative land uses.
The APEX (Agricultural Policy-Environmental eXtender) model developed in the United States was calibrated for northwestern China's conditions. The model was then used to investigate soil erosion effects associated with alternative land uses at the ZFG (Zi-Fang-Gully) watershed in northwestern China. The results indicated that the APEX model could be calibrated reasonably well (+/-15% errors) to...
متن کاملEffects of Land Use on Soil Erosion and Nitrogen Loss in the Hilly Area of the Loess Plateau, China
This study examines the effects of land use and slope angle on runoff, soil loss and nitrogen loss from hillslopes of the Loess Plateau in China. Farmland, wasteland and four forest treatments (sea buckthornþ poplar, immature sea buckthorn, mature sea buckthorn, and immature Chinese pine) were the types of land use that were compared. The results showed that July was the critical period for run...
متن کاملThe Effect of Land use and Soil Erosion on Soil Organic Carbon and Nitrogen Stock
Soil organic carbon (SOC) is a principal component in soil quality assessment. Knowledge of SOC and total nitrogen (TN) stocks are important keys to understand the role of SOC in the global carbon cycle and, as a result, in the mitigation of global greenhouse effects. SOC and TN stocks are functions of the SOC concentration and the bulk density of the soil that are prone to changes, influe...
